Safe, Well Maintained and Consistantly Beautiful

THE PLAZA APARTMENT HOMES has been my home for nearly a year. I feel the the apartment complex is safe, well maintained, and consistently beautiful. A gracious touch to our exterior decor’ is the potted floral arrangements changed four times during the year to mark the seasons. The pool area, lawns, and front entry are well attended. A major consideration for me in choosing an apartment was safety, accessibility, and appropriateness for caring for my toddler granddaughter. She loves to come here weekly, where she hugs the welcoming Hometown Charlie Brown on her way past the entry fountain and large party room. She has become acquainted with friendly residents of all ages. The Plaza is pet-friendly, so greeting dogs and watching resident cats are favorite activities for this child, as well as caring for flowers on the all-concrete-and-steel deck. Our heated underground parking is convenient and safe for her, as well as all the adults who make The Plaza their home. Management strives to meet the needs of a great variety of residents through prompt maintenance response, and by planning a wide selection of social gatherings, movies, and exercise classes. We enjoy a book club, card-playing groups, and various games. The Plaza shuttle provides convenient transportation to local shopping and outings. Complementary transport to the airport can also be arranged. I appreciate many facets of a gracious life here at The Plaza.

One Southdale Place: Empty-Nesters and Relocated

We are empty-nesters and relocated to One Southdale Place early 2015. I was initially concerned about the size of our space being less than 1000 ft.² after leaving our 3000 square-foot home, however with the wonderful layout and floor-to-ceiling windows it feels much larger. There are plenty of cabinets and closets spaces. I am so happy that our traditional furniture fit so nicely into the space. I initially thought we would need to buy more contemporary furniture but didn’t need to replace any of our former items. The people are so friendly the security is excellent the complementary yoga classes are fun and the community areas including the gym are beautiful. The maintenance staff is attentive and respectful. Looking forward to spring so we can use the grills and summer so we can enjoy the pool and the rooftop deck.

York Plaza: Comfortable, Friendly Staff, Good Neighbors, Up-to-Date Amenities, Quick Maintenance Response.

I would suggest it was a quiet neighborhood with large, comfortable apartments and common areas. The office staff is friendly, efficient and professional. The housekeeping staff is responsive to resident needs. The maintenance staff is quick to respond, friendly, and results-orientated. The shared facilities … such as the pools, weight and exercise areas, party room, business center and outside grounds … are kept in top shape year-round. Residents interact well; they are friendly and helpful towards one another, though there is a diverse cultural and ethnicity mix. I have lived here for over 15 years and have always found York Plaza well-suited for my needs and those of my family.

Hopkins Plaza: Friendly and Helpful Staff, Large 1-Bedroom Apts, Great Upkeep, and Clean

I have lived here one year. I am really happy we chose this apartment building as opposed to something closer to Minneapolis. There are a few express buses on 7th/Excelsior and 7th/Main that run during rush hour, which is a huge plus for commuters. Living within walking distance to the budget theater, the library, grocery, and restaurants is great. There are a lot of children living in the complex, but it is typically a quiet apartment and I rarely hear our neighbors (unless they are in the hallway or outside with the windows open). It’s true that the apartments do have some dated features (our carpeting and plumbing fixtures could use some updating), but it makes up for it with large closets and rooms. The biggest drawback was when we moved in, that our apartment smelled like smoke from the previous tenants. Hopkins Plaza offered to shampoo our carpets again, which is a nice gesture but not particularly helpful (shampooing doesn’t get out smoke smell out of carpeting– baking soda, vacuuming, airing out, washing walls, and time is what worked for us). That is the only major annoyance I can think of. Overall, I would recommend this apartment.

Heritage Landing: Beautiful Apartments, Awesome Location, Outstanding Management!!!!

Living at Heritage Landing has been a wonderful experience for us for the past year. The complex is centrally located in the downtown Minneapolis warehouse district, the units are large with a modern feel and amenities, and the building staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and hard-working. Not to mention the top-notch fitness center and extremely comfortable party room available for a nominal fee to host events. We also have found all of our fellow residents to be very welcoming and respectful. Overall, Heritage Landing is a high-quality, family-oriented living environment run by an exceptional management team. We could not recommend it any higher and will likely stay here as long as we live in the Minneapolis area.
